THE 2002/2003 SEASON
Despite a number of very close games the
First XV were rarely able to maintain momentum to win games and the season
ended on a disappointing note when they were relegated to Hampshire. The
2nd XV played in a very strong Hampshire London Division Merit table and
their bottom position did not reflect the efforts of the team. The 3rd XV
fared rather better in the Hampshire Division 1 Merit table finishing
mid-table. The most successful side, without doubt, was the Women's XV
who, although ending up third in the league, were very close to promotion
to National 1. The Academy team had a mixed season but suffered mostly
from cancellation of fixtures. Significant successes were achieved by the
Under 13s side who won their County Cup Final and the Under 14s who were
runners up in their final.
