THE 2006/2007 SEASON

The 1st XV had a very good season finishing 5pts clear at the top of Hampshire 1 and thus returning to the London Division they left last year. A wobble at the beginning of the season in the gales at Ellingham and a too easy run out at the end against Southampton were the only league defeats and they got close to a Club record in the 109 pts put past Millbrook. An excellent run in the Junior Vase stopped short only two games away from Twickenham being defeated in the quarter final by the eventual winners Hartpury College (Gloucester Academy). Many new friends were made at Chiswick, Medway, Bishopston and Old Abbotstonians and this showed the value of this competition.

The 2nds and 3rds both had good seasons although dropping a little in their respective Merit Tables but, again, they were playing against the respective teams from Clubs well above in the leagues

The Women (now to be called The Ladies XV) again had a very successful season with a nail biting finish down at Bath with both teams vying for top spot. On the day Bath proved too strong and Trojans ended up second in the league. However they have still been promoted and will now play in the new Champion 1 South League - one league below The Premiership.

The Colts ended up one place higher in 4th place, just failing to maintain their progress at the end of the season where a second spot was possible.

The Under 16, Under 15 and Under 14 team all played in County Leagues and gave a good account of themselves. The Under 16s ended up third in their table but had the same number of points as the top team. The Under 15s could only mange 8th place but were only four points from the fourth place team so that shows how competitive that league was. The Under 14s ended up mid table but had some significant wins. The Under 13s do not play in a league but had a satisfactory season winning as many as they lost.
