Saracens Train at Trojans 23rd July 2010
As part of their new sponsorship deal with Garmin, who have their headquarters near Southampton, Saracens brought their full playing squad and Academy to Trojans for a morning training session.
A good size crowd, including invited schools, watched and learnt a thing or two and after a talk from the Saracens coaches two schools took to the pitch for a coaching session and a friendly game.
This was not, of course, the first time that Saracens had been to Trojans. The last time was on the 2nd October 1937 when they came to Southampton to play Trojans on the occasion of the opening of the new Clubhouse at the Sports Ground, Cemetery Road, Swaythling (near the current Ford factory)
