The Trojans Rugby Club has teams at
every age level from under 7 to seniors, three senior sides with the
1st XV in London Division 4SW, the 2nd and 3rds in their respective
merit tables, a Colts team (U17/U18) playing in the Hampshire Colts
league, 10 age groups from under 7 to under 16 and, of course, a
successful Ladies team now playing in the Championship South 1
Division.
There
is a good social side to the Club and the extensive Clubhouse is open
seven days a week.

Trojans
FC is part of The Trojans Club which is a
non-profit making, multi-sports club providing the facilities for the
playing, by members, of rugby football, cricket, hockey, squash and any
other sports or games that may be decided upon.
Membership
of the Trojans club entitles each member to participate in any or all of
the sections of the club. |

The
Club owns 16 acres of ground off Stoneham Lane that provides for
three
rugby pitches (the first pitch having a small stand), a floodlit
rugby
training pitch, a floodlit Astro-turf hockey pitch, two
and a cricket square. The Clubhouse,
open seven days a week, houses four squash courts (including two glass
backed championship courts), bars, function room, changing rooms,
committee room and offices. In addition, a private company runs a fitness
suite and extensive physiotherapy suite, sited in two of the original
squash courts, but to which members have preferential access. There is
also a small sports shop. |

The
original pavilion at Stoneham Park was completed in 1960 and consisted of
changing rooms and rudimentary bar
and catering facilities. This pavilion
formed the heart of the new clubhouse completed in 1973 when more changing
rooms, four squash courts, new bars and kitchen and a committee room were
built. Two new glass-back courts were added in 1977 along with extensions
to the office, toilets and field changing rooms. |

The
Trojans Club was formed in 1874, initially as a rugby club. There are now
four very active sections, Rugby, Cricket, Hockey and Squash, covering all
ages from Under 8 to Seniors and both men and women, boys and girls. During it’s long
and proud history, the Trojans Club has done much to foster amateur sport
and has, over the years, produced many county and international players.
