. TROJANS CLUB REGULATIONS (Updated 12/12/2002)
1 Status
These regulations are made in accordance with the Rules of the Club.
2 Opening Hours of Clubhouse
The opening hours of the Clubhouse shall be -

Members shall have left the premises by these closing times (excluding certain Public or Bank Holidays when the Club will be open for such hours as are decided by the General Committee). This excludes special functions for which a bar extension has been obtained when the Club premises will remain open for half an hour after the function ends and the bar closes at such time as shall be decided by the General Committee.
3 Normal Opening of Club Bars
The permitted hours for sale and consumption of intoxicating liquor in the Clubhouse are -
Monday to Saturday 11.00am to 11.00pm Sunday 12.00 noon to 10.30pm
The normal opening hours of the Club Bars shall be -
Monday to Friday 5.30pm to 11pm Saturday 12noon to 11pm (Winter months) 6pm to 10pm (Summer months) Sunday 12noon to 3pm (Winter months) 6pm to 8pm (Winter months) 6pm to 10pm (Summer months)
Drinking up time is for 10 minutes after hours specified above.
Any additional hours as may be authorised by the Management Committee within the permitted hours or as allowed by a licence extension.
4 Classes of Membership
The Classes of membership shall be -
Full Members
4.1 Sporting Members
Full members of one or more particular sporting section. This class carries full voting rights
4.2 Non-playing Member Affiliated to a Section
Affiliated to a particular Section. This class carries full voting rights
4.3 Social Member
Full use of bar and catering facilities. This class carries no voting rights
4.4 Junior Membership
Under 18. This class carries no voting rights
Affiliate and Temporary Members
4.5 Affiliated members
Spouses of Members of Classes 4.1 to 4.3 and Parents/Guardians of Junior Members. This class carries no voting rights and no use of the Club facilities other than the bar and catering facilities.
4.6 Visiting Teams
Visiting teams, officials and their supporters attending the Clubs premises for a specific sporting event (or any social event forming part of or being ancillary to the said event) shall be entitled to use such parts of the Club House as authorised by the Management Committee.
4.7 Guest Squash Players
A £1 fee is required for guest players who are not members of a visiting team No guest player shall be permitted to play more than four times in any year.
4.8 Temporary Members
Temporary member are visitors attending the Club for a specific event, other than visiting under para 4.6, and admitted under Para 5.
Rights of temporary member shall be limited to the use of the Club House only during such time as the specific event is taking place. No voting rights attach to any class of membership unless specified above.
4.9 Guests
All visitors not covered by 4.6 or 4.8 above must be signed in. A visitors Book is kept in the main entrance or, when a function is in progress, in the bar mainly serving that function.
4.10 General
Any person wishing to serve on any Club or Section Committee or Sub-committee must hold a membership class of 4.1 or 4.2 above
Existing playing members who have not renewed their subscription by the date required in the rules will not be picked to play for any team until such subscription is renewed.
5 Functions
The organisers of outside functions are to :-
5.1 submit to the Administrative Staff at least 72 hours before the event a list of persons attending to enable them to become Temporary Members in accordance with clause 4.8 of these Regulations.
5.2 submit details of arrangements for establishing adequate policing of the function so as to prevent entry by non-members (other than temporary members as aforesaid).
5.3 keep a copy of the said list available for inspection of any Officer of the Club, Police Officer, member of the Management Committee or Administrative Staff and maintain throughout the function an up to date list of persons attending the same and ensure the appropriate entries in the Club Visitors Book. The Club reserves the right to immediately terminate any function should the above conditions not be satisfied or remedied forthwith.
6 Membership Admission
6.1 Every candidate for admission to any class of membership (other than affiliate, visitor guest or temporary membership) should be proposed by two members of the Club qualified to vote. An application to any Section shall be approved by a nominated member of that Section's Committee and then passed to the Administrative Staff of the Club. The names of candidates shall be posted on the notice board at least one week before the date of the next Management Committee Meeting. Election to membership shall then be by simple majority at the Management Committee Meeting.
6.2 The candidate shall obtain the required proposer and seconder and to make payment of the required amount to include entrance fee, where applicable, in addition to the subscription. If the candidate is not elected to membership this will be returned.
The application form together with the necessary monies should be sent in to the Club office.
Prospective playing members are given one months grace before an application form is required to be completed.
7 Drinks
7.1 Intoxicating liquor of any description shall only be sold or supplied to or consumed by persons over the age of 18 years and who are either -
(a) members (to include affiliated and temporary members) of the Club, or
(b) bona fide guests of members, or
(c) visiting teams covered by Regulation 4.6 hereof.
7.2 No drinks other than those supplied by the Club through it's Bar Manager, or other Officer or employee of the Club shall be sold to or consumed by persons at the Club unless specifically agreed by the Management Committee.
8 Code of Conduct
Certain standards are expected in the Club which are to be maintained by all Members, Visitors and Guests -
These are detailed in Appendix 1 of these regulations
9 Children
Members, visitors and guests are responsible for the behaviour of their children whilst on the Club premises. Children will only be served at the bar at the Bar Manager's discretion.
10 Bar Prices
All current bar prices are displayed behind the main bar.
11 Valuables
The Club cannot bear any responsibility or make any compensation for any loss or damage suffered, whatsoever in respect thereof, when members and their guests or visitors are on Club premises or when valuables are left unattended in the changing rooms.
12 Change of Address
Members are responsible for notifying the Club Management in writing of any change of address.
13 Amendment to Regulations
These regulations may be amended by a simple majority of the General Committee at a properly convened meeting.
TROJANS CLUB CODE OF CONDUCT
APPENDIX TO THE CLUB REGULATIONS JAN 1997
This code of conduct, approved by the General Committee as part of the Club Regulations, sets out general standards expected within the Club which will be enforceable by Club Officers and Staff. This may include exclusion from the premises and refusal of service at the bars. This code applies to all members, visitors and guests and is designed for the comfort of all members.
1 There is to be no access to the Club House to any person wearing unsuitable or dirty footwear.
2 Kitbags/sports equipment are to be left in the changing rooms, cars or other designated storage areas and are not to be brought into/left in the bars or reception areas. Members, visitors and guests remain responsible for all sports equipment whilst at the Club premise. The Club cannot accept any responsibility for any loss or damage however occuring.
3 Save in emergency, no external fire doors are to be opened and/or left open as this may create a security risk to the whole premises.
4 No children under 14 years are to enter the squash courts, fitness suite or their immediate surrounds unless accompanied and supervised by an adult.
5 Dogs are not encouraged at the Club but if a member deems it necessary to bring his or her dog to the Club it is to be kept on a lead and under strict control, both on the fields and within the Club premises. Dogs are not allowed in the Paris bar. Dogs must not be allowed to foul the pitches.
6 Parents/Guardians remain responsible for their children whilst the children are at the Club and, in particular, children are not to be left to wander around the Club House and should not enter bars unsupervised. Children must not run around the Club House and are encouraged to utilise the well area.
7 A reasonable and acceptable standard of dress and behaviour is expected at all times at the Club. By way of example -
Tops should be worn at all times in the reception/bar areas.
Players concluding sports should shower and change before entering bars.
There should be no excessive noise or abusive language.
The Paris Bar is designed for convivial socialising. Members and guests should be smartly dressed. There will be no admittance to persons in sport kit or to unsupervised children.
8 Cars are parked at the Club premises at their owners risk and the Club cannot be responsible for any damage to cars, vehicles or other personal items of members, guests or visitors, however caused. Members and guests are reminded to take account of the sporting activities around them.
9 The Club cannot be held responsible for any items of value left anywhere in the Club premises and, in particular, the changing rooms.
10 Access to and from the rugby playing areas is to be by the path constructed alongside the Hockey Astroturf pitch. Neither the hockey pitches nor the cricket square should be crossed.
