officially starts at the Club on Tuesday 15th July starting at 7.00pm
prompt.
New players of all
abilities especially welcome - come along and contact the senior coaches
Pete Surtees or Tim Allen.
Ladies training has also
started and, again, new players are always welcome.
Their main session is at
7.00 on a Wednesday. Contact Wyn or Stu. |

Congratulations to Helena Coyte who played for
the Celtic Hurricanes against the Stormers in the 2008 Women's Super League
at Heythrop Park yesterday. The Super League teams are made up of "England's
elite players" as the RFUW describe it. |

A successful Youth Dinner Dance was held at
which the Dan Surtees Trophy, the annual award to someone who has
contributed significantly to the Youth Section, was presented to John
McCormack. |

Calling all members: It has
been decided to have a "Club Night" after training on the last Thursday of
each month, starting 8.30/9.00. It is intended to be an informal social
gathering for all players, coaches of all age groups, committee members,
Pirates and supporters. Food will be available at minimal cost. (Players
will be expected to have changed after training).
First night = 31st January

Congratulations to Trojans' Ladies who have now been promoted to
Championship South 1 (the new name equivalent to Premiership 2 - i.e. Level
2 Nationally). They will now play Bath, Blackheath, Cheltenham, Old
Albanians, Plymouth Albion, Richmond II and Saracens II. We look forward to
a hard season. New players are always welcome - contact the
