A weekend to make us proud

Trojans Rugby Weekly Round-up
With no Rugby on Saturday the weekend started on Sunday, and it was a weekend to make us proud.

The Big Game of the weekend was the Academy playing in the National Plate quarter Final against Ivybridge. At half time we held a slender 12-7 lead but sadly by the end the result was 20-12 against us. Let’s not let this result dismay us, though, it was still a tremendous achievement to get to the quarter finals of a national competition and we are tremendously proud of the players, coaches and parents whose teamwork enabled the Academy to get this far. There were tries from Eddie J and Sam W and a conversion by Tom KO. The men of the match were Josh G and David M .

The Ladies 2nd XV were playing at the same time and recorded an excellent 38-15 win against Marlow.
While many of the U16 Chiefs that won the County Championship last week were training with an England 7s player at Basingstoke the Warriors travelled to Havant, returning having battled to a great 20-21 win. There were tries from Ben Phillips, Tyler Skellen and Billy Phillips, all converted by Man of the Match Clayton Parker.
